Neil Thompson, Sad Cafe.

While recording in the studio with Sad Cafe one of the sound engineers got chatting to Neil and he soon discovered that Neil was a serious guitar collector and always looking for that something special guitar. He asked Neil if he would be interested in the Les Paul and that it belonged to his friend Jimmy Page, Jimmy s friend Pete Townshend gave him the guitar a while back but he no longer played it….he asked “how much is it?” The price was agreed and Neil said he would buy the guitar if he could give him a signed photograph to go with the guitar as his wife was a big Jimmy Page fan.

The next day the sound engineer brought the guitar with the signed photograph into the studio and the deal was done.

Neil suddenly died about about Six years back and i got the chance to purchase some of the guitars out of his collection, this is one of those guitars.

The guitar is in good condition but has a slight twist in the neck, it is still very playable but spends it days out of sight in it’s case.

The guitar is for sale, all serious offers considered, if the guitar dose not sell on here it will go to one of the major auction houses and entered in one of the specialist Rock Memorabilia sales.

Beautiful Art Deco Bronze.
